Piano Conservatory Admission Coach

Maria is a classically trained pianist and conservatory admission coach. She works with piano applicants on repertoire, recordings, applications, and audition preparation.

A graduate of the Mannes School of Music in New York City (full scholarship, Dean's Award) and the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory (with distinction), Maria draws on her own conservatory studies in her coaching.

As a performer, Maria has appeared on stages including Carnegie Hall and The Bolshoi Theatre, bringing real-world performance experience to every coaching session.

My Journey: From Moscow to New York

I earned a Specialist Degree with Distinction in Musical Performance at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory. My diploma identifies my qualification as concert performer and teacher.

Wanting to broaden my musical horizons, I applied to conservatories in the United States. I was awarded a full scholarship to the Mannes School of Music at The New School in New York City, where I earned my Professional Studies Diploma in Collaborative Piano. I also received the Dean's Award for academic and artistic excellence.

Studying in both Russia and the United States gave me personal experience of moving between conservatory systems. I use that experience to help applicants organize their preparation and understand each school’s published requirements.
